OVERVIEW – This is the true story of American heroes during the Revolutionary War who are Christians as told through their love story. Samuel Benjamin became one of America’s first elite soldiers who was first a Minuteman at Lexington and Concord. He fought in some of the era’s most famous battles, became a soldier in the Light Infantry eventually fighting under the command of Alexander Hamilton at the Siege of Yorktown. Samuel and Tabitha Livermore weren’t rich or connected. They were average colonists who risked their lives for the ideal of liberty driven by their faith. This is American history told in a unique way and based on Samuel’s war diaries. Readers will see images from Samuel’s documents housed at Yale University. They’ll also see Revolutionary War military records. This book was heavily researched and written with the passion as a descendant of Samuel and Tabitha.
